Flashback through 2014! Best. Year. Ever!

For me, 2014 was life changing.  So much happened this year, it was almost unbelievable at times.  Saying goodbye to it is almost bittersweet, but the fond memories of times gone by will always fill my heart with joy.

First, getting married filled my year with more than just a day.   It filled my life with fun shopping trips with my mother, giddy conversations with co-workers, and seeing my now husband as true family rather than just the boy I am dating.  My bridal shower and my bachelorette party were 2 of the absolute best weekends of my life and I will treasure those memories for as long as I live!

In the midst of all my planning and parties, my hubs was not left short of celebration.  He was busy winning the state championship with both the high school baseball team that he coaches (Go Gators!) and his softball team that he plays on.  Yes, that means he went from no rings to 3 rings in a few short months!

Of course the wedding was spectacular.  Low key, laid back, and even more fun than I had originally thought it would be.  I got both my sports bar/party scene and my big church, some Oriole's magic and my beautiful ball gown.  Some many extremes, yet it all came together so seamlessly, and at the end of the day I was married to the love my life forever and ever.  Amen.  I still have yet to post much on the wedding or honeymoon (can you say slacker???) but you can read the beginnings of it all here.

Well that should be it.  I should wrap it up there.  But no, my life flipped upside down again when I accepted a new job closer to home immediately after the wedding.  It's been a tough transition if I'm going to be honest and saying goodbye to old co-workers has been a lot harder than I'd bargained for, but I have no regrets and am confident things will continue to get easier as I learn the ropes of a new place and become comfortable in my new surroundings.

So what will 2015 have in store??  I have no clue how the past year could ever be topped, but with all the amazing people I have in my life, I have no doubts it will be a good one!  Happy New Year!

  1. What a fun year you had! I got married 3 years ago, and you're right, it's not just the day but the entire year!! I love how you had a low key wedding but still got your church - that photo is priceless :)
