Announcement: I Don't Hate My Hair Anymore!

Gonna make this one super short and sweet but I have to announce that the hatred of my hair (my lifelong "problem area") has been majorly alleviated.  About six months ago, I posted a call for help on Instagram and man did you guys deliver.  I haven't tried everything but I can pretty confidently narrow it down to two main things that have totally changed the texture and manageability of my hair... so I'm reporting back with real life feedback that can hopefully help you too!

First, a little about me... my hair is both super thin AND curly.  Somewhat of a hair paradox in my opinion.  I find that most products made for curly hair are also created to tame thickness, and most products for thin hair are made for the silky straight.  Neither of which describe my poodle headed scenario, so I've spent my life flip flopping and never really finding anything I loved.  Now don't get me wrong, I'm not telling you I have a great head of hair now, but I can tell you that my situation has improved significantly, or more importantly, my confidence.  So without further ado, I contribute said improvements to these TWO things...

1. It's a 10.  Actually, more like switching over to sulfate free products in general.  But since I have a different brand downstairs than upstairs and can actually compare the two, I'm going to give It's a 10 the edge on this one.  Whether I decide to leave it curly or straighten it, I always feel like my hair is a lot more smooth and lays nicer when I use this brand.  Right now I am using the shampoo and conditioner (at least on days when I shower upstairs) and the styling serum, which by the way is a liquid miracle.  Even if you're not using the entire line, put one little pump of this in your hair and man does it save the day!

2. Cocoa Locks.  Ok, this is so random.  I know, I know.  And to be honest it's definitely not something that I would ever have spent money on in the first place and probably would have laughed at as a scam, so I'm going to be perfectly up front here.  I WAS given this product to test as a freebie in exchange for my honest review and a few Instagram posts, but I am NOT being paid for this post or being asked to shed a favorable light on it.  So while this was a gift, I can assure you this is an honest opinion.  The product claims to help your hair to grow faster, and while I can't for sure say that it wouldn't have grown this length on it's own in this amount of time anyway, I can tell you that I feel the texture of my hair is significantly softer and healthier since I started drinking it.  I do not drink it every day.  Let's say I drink it every 3 days or so, but it still makes a difference, and yes, its absolutely delish.  I do mix in the suggested serving amount with a teaspoon of a regular hot chocolate mix, just because the chocolate factor is a little bit scant, but I'm totally fine with that knowing it's packed with vitamins to balance it out.  So would I pay money to continue drinking it?  Yes, I would.  Could I get the same results from say a hair, skin, and nail vitamin?  Probably.  But for some reason I just can't seem to keep myself consistent with a capsule and they only work if you're actually taking them.  So if hot cocoa is what it takes for me, then that's what it takes.

And that's literally it.  The end of my list because I have enough facial and fitness products to keep up with, I can't possible do the same amount with my hair!  Have a routine that you swear by?  Please share in comments!  I'm always looking for ways to improve this shaggy mane and am open to more suggestions!  xo
