First let me preface this post by saying that I don’t have kids yet, so I am purely viewing this Easter basket thing in terms of the “man basket”. Yes, I leave an Easter basket for my fiance. I mean he’s practically a kid at heart, and I love leaving little surprises out for him to find... Easter, birthday, heck, I even left his a Valentine “basket” in a cup. If I’m doing this for a grown man, I can only imagine what I’ll be doing for my kids one day, but to be honest, I think adult baskets are a lot more fun ;)
One of my favorite things to do for a man basket is to forgo the actual basket. Find a useful container- one that you’ve been searching for anyway - and fill it with the goodies that would have gone in the basket. Here are some of the neat man-friendly thoughts I’ve been brainstorming...
A. Beer tub
B. Backpack
Last year was our first summer in our new house so I had gotten a beer tub basket and filling it with Easter grass and lots of little gifts. We have definitely gotten our my money's worth out of it!

Now the actual basket for this year is still TBD, but I’ll be sure to link back up after filling whatever it is with treats. Can’t give anything away ahead of time! You never know who’s peeking! ;) What will you leave out for Easter this year?

ReplyDeleteI'm doing an Easter party at the cocktail bar that I work in this weekend, so I'll be creating some kind of 'basket' for that.. I love getting creative with anything like this.
I really like this idea! What types of goodies did you fill the man basket with? I can get my husband some candy, but it would also be fun to fill it with a few other nick knacks. Any fun suggestions?
