What Day of the Week is it??

With crazy weather and random disturbances, that's what I've woken up saying most days this week.  Snow, ice, arctic vortex... I don’t think I’ve had a “normal” week since before Christmas.  And just to stay in theme with the abnormality, here’s five totally random things I’d love to share with you this week...

{ONE}
These photos from my mom’s house during the ice storm on Wednesday.  Beautiful to look at, disastrous for roads, houses, and my friend’s brand new fence.  Anyway, Erin at Two Thirds Hazel inspired me with her amazing Central Park snow photos, so I thought I’d see the beauty in it :)

A forest squirrel enjoying the peanuts we left for him.

Ice crusted tree.

Deer tracks in the ice.

Icicles hanging from the railing.

The lake outside our house.

This video = hilarious.  If you’ve ever danced, wanted to dance, or even watched So You Think You Can Dance, enjoy.

{THREE}
Surprise snow day Monday means I actually prepped meals for the week for my apparent meathead fiance.  (It’s a phase.... I think.)  I made teriyaki chicken in the crockpot put it over brown rice with string beans.   Ya know, wife practice.

{FOUR}
If you missed it a couple of weeks ago, we were featured on Charm City Wed.  Pretty exciting and surprising stuff for this once anti-wedding gal! Speaking of which... are we really getting down to 5 months?!

{FIVE}
My mom told me a couple of weeks ago that she had this amazing bottled Sangria.  I called her a liar.  All bottled sangria is terrible and not even comparable to the real homemade (or restaurant-made) stuff.  She made me try it and blew me away.  This stuff is the BEST EVER!  They sell it at her liquor store, but I’d never seen it before, so I’m not sure if it’s new or if I just never noticed it before.  If you find it, buy it!

Have a great weekend!
