Pregnant Weekends... a Change of Pace

Another weekend flying by, another weekend gone.  Being pregnant has certainly changed the feel of the weekends and it's much more about relaxation and spending time at home together than venturing out on the town.  Our Fridays basically consist of some sort of local takeout for dinner, after which I typically announce that I am tired and spend the rest of the evening tucked snugly in my bed.  It's not much to write about, it's become a sort of version of Heaven and possibly my favorite activity.

On Saturday I did get out of the house and run a few errands.  I paid a few bills, and took care of a few "to do" items that had been hanging over my head.  It was actually quite productive if I do say so myself.  We got out to visit friends in the evening where I enjoyed a large delicious solo cup of ginger ale along with many laughs!

Sunday... snow.  Ice.  Ya know, the norm.  But I don't hate it because it went perfect with homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and numerous cups of hot tea and cocoa.  (And by homemade I do mean Betty Crocker bag mix which I personally hand stirred and spooned onto the cookie sheet.)  Delicious.

  1. I relate so much to your standard Friday nights. Mine consisted of dinner out with the husband, and watching House of Cards on the couch until I fell asleep part way through. Oops! #probsinyourthirties haha
We got the ice storm yesterday too--what a slippery mess! Hope you're off to a good start for the week!!

  2. I love lazy weekends! And with all the snow and ice we've had in Baltimore, who wants to go out anyways? :)

  3. Lazy weekends.... Just the best. Along with homemade hot cocoa because let's be honest, putting the perfect amount of mix in and stirring it up really is quite the task!
