Five Things I'm Grateful for Today

One:  School delays!  Yes, I get to sleep in an extra 2 hours today.  Why?  Because it's too cold.  I'm glad the people in charge agree.  I'll take it without complaint!

Two:  My happiness.  You'd think this cold would have me feeling like Grumpy McGrumpertin, but instead I'm smiling from the inside it.  It could be probably is the munchkins.  They're so cute I can already tell and I'm smiling from ear to ear.  Best part?  They go everywhere with me so I never have to leave them behind!  (yet.)

Three:  The man of my dreams.  Can you believe I get to be married to him??  This week he went out and shoveled snow while I napped.  He kisses me good morning and good night every single day.  He never lets a day go by without telling me how much he loves me... like actually says it. I have a feeling these men are hard to come by.  Dang I am one lucky little chick.

Four:  Supportive parents.  I have to admit they were never in a hurry for me to have children, and I often wondered if they even wanted me to, but both of them are so over the moon excited now, and it warms my heart with relief.  I know I won't be left on my own to figure it all out.  I know they're ready to help however they can.  It will be hard, but I know I have people to count on through all of my challenges ahead.

Five:  A 20 minute commute.  After years of driving an hour to work, and often staying at my parents house instead of driving home, I'm finally feeling settled and reaping the benefits of working close to home.  I get to make dinner for my husband and I almost nightly and I get to kiss him goodbye every morning before I leave.  It definitely gives life a sense of purpose and makes me feel like I am really living and thriving in the community that I live in.  Not to mention, with twins on the way,  I couldn't even imagine still driving an hour... Everything happens at the right time I suppose!

Take a minute to think of something you're grateful for today!
